The issue of presidents’ Muhamadu Buhari isn’t taking the back burner despite assurances from the first lady and the Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF.
Speaking with newsmen in Lagos, the executive director of the Socio Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, Adetokunbo Mumuni said, for Nigerians to have faith in his capacity to lead, the president must be seen actively working and making critical decisions.
Mumuni advised the president’s handlers to publicly come out and give the nation the accurate details of the president’s health as speculations may breed further problems.
Also lending his opinion to the discussion, a Senior Lecturer at the University of Lagos and public affairs analyst, Adetokunbo Pearse, said the economy is suffering because of the inability of the president to function properly.
Pearse advised that in future Nigerians must fully scrutinise the health status of any public office holder to avoid such embarrassments.
