Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency says 10 persons have died and hundreds displaced following the recent heavy rainfall in the state.

The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr Mohammed Suleiman, who made the revelation in Yola pointed out that hundreds of domestic animals were also lost to the flood.

Suleiman said the flood destroyed hectares of lands especially in nine local government areas located at the bank of River Benue, adding that half of the state’s population is currently under threat of impending flood and urged residents to be at alert.
