ASUU members in the Federal University of Technology Minna have joined their counterparts on a one week warning strike to press home their demand for improved working conditions.

On Thursday, in the two campuses of the university, students were found idling away as the lecturers stayed away from classes.

The strike they say is in compliance with the directive of the ASUU National Secretariat.

Branch Chairman of ASUU in the university, Dr Suleiman Ndanista, said that 99 per cent of members have adhered to the union directives.

He added that all that was required by the federal government was to commit political will in meeting the demands of the union.
