Question of the day: The Niger Delta Avengers on Monday said it was ready for a dialogue with the Federal Government.
The militants, however, gave conditions for the peace talk.
1. The group said the Federal Government must suspend the purchase of crude oil from the Niger Delta region.
2. The President must not turn the proposed peace talk and dialogue to a political jamboree.
3. The Federal Government to involve member states of the multinational oil corporations to commit independent mediators to the proposed dialogue.
Should the federal government ascent to this for peace to reign in the region and production of crude be allowed to run in a couple of months time or take a military option and risk more damage to the people and environment?
