Officers of the Nigerian Army have been prepared to enforce national security and development, following the just concluded 2016 Operational Planning Seminar.

Amid recent challenges and threats to national safety in parts of Nigeria, exchange of intelligence through robust deliberations and programmes, remains critical to surmounting the hurdles against national peaceful co-existence and development of the country.

At the operational planning cadre for officers of the two division Nigerian Army, Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment Ibadan, the General Officer Commanding Maj. Gen. Kasimu Abdulkarim, said the programme was designed to enhance operational planning skills and ensure readiness of officers while also bridging the gap among other security agents for better efficiency.

The Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi in his key note address to all Security Chiefs present, lauded the contribution of the army for maintaining internal peace and tackling insurgency in the country.
